     Engineers' day is a massive event in an engineering college.  To commemorate this day  , the EES members along with the faculty members put their best foot forward to organize a programme on September 15,2015. Engineers' day 2015 was particularly special as the first departmental newsletter was inaugurated on this day. The first departmental newsletter ,"ELECTROWRITE", Volume I, Issue 1 was successfully inaugurated in presence of all the faculty member and all the students of the existing batch.  54 students from all the years participated in the Quiz competition.  After rounds of questionnaires , Anindya Kumar Das, Debargha Ghosh and Abhishek Poddar of 2nd year emerged as winners. After the quiz competition, a group discussion was conducted. The students were divided into groups of three . the Topic was "Advancement in Electrical Engineering". Both the parties spoke ardently on the issue and stood their ground. In the end, Sohini Dhar, krishna Kumar and Abhishek Anand of 3rd year win. All the winners and participants acclaimed for their endeavour.

      Engineers' Day 2016 was momentous as the parents and guardians of the 2nd year were invited to be a part of the celebration. A sundry of events were organized all through the day to glorify the day.  The programme got off the ground by a speech from our Prof. Jayanta B. Basu followed by an awareness presentation by Prof. Kaushik Chatterjee. A Technical Dumb Charades was organized soon after the presentation. The effervescence and the enthusiasm of the 20 participants enacting , kept everyone engaged. Susmita Guha Sarkar, Ankita and Snigdha Das of 2nd year were declared the winners after several rounds. The effort of all the participants and winners were acknowledged with appreciates and certificates. The day finally came to an end with a Vote of Thanks.
